If I See An Ad on Ebay Is It OK To Buy If They Use Stock Photos?

While you are shopping on eBay you finally found the item you have been dying to own and it is at the perfect price, however it is a stock picture and that is the one thing that gives you concern as to if you are going to be taken in on a scam, lose your money and not get what you really wanted it could be a issue of fraud taking place against you too, this is making you very wary to complete the purchase.

I have some positive news for you today go ahead and buy your merchandise it is OK for the seller to use a stock photo and for the most part totally safe. Many use the stock photos because they are better than the photo they can take with their home camera, the stock photo will show you what you are really getting and with the stock photo the picture is clearer and better to see all the details on the merchandise.

It is so much better for the buyer to see what they are really getting instead of just looking at a photo with bad lighting and not have enough details of the item. Lets say you were buying a license plate of a Air Force JAG it will be much better for you see the fine details and coloring on the plate instead of the view through a regular camera which would not pick up the blue coloring or the logo details. This should give you a feeling of security that you are buying something that you have seen every detail on instead of a blurry picture.

My question is why should I buy from eBay when the seller uses stock photos? First off it should give you piece of mind knowing that the seller wants you to see what the item truly looks like and they are not afraid for you to see it in every detail, the seller wants you to really like what you are purchasing. There are always a few rotten apples in the barrel that are looking to scam you, it is important to protect yourself by paying with Pay Pal and do not but anything from countries that are deemed unreliable this should help to weed out the non- honest sellers.

Like with the Air Force JAG plates it is just one of many items that it is important to see all of the tiny details before you purchase it. There are many other items that you will see stock photos on from everything from dishes to clothes it is the seller wanting you to see exactly what you should be getting and the seller giving you the best customer service that they can provide.

Many time retailers will get the stock pictures from their wholesalers to show off what the best view of the item. This is a great situation for everyone involved, the buyer gets what they want, the seller makes a great sale and the wholesaler gets more orders from the satisfied seller to renew their inventory.

When looking at a stock picture you can breath easy that you are buying something that you can really see and know what you are purchasing. The sale goes through with ease and grace and you can relax and enjoy!

Flickr has some great search options that allow you to find images licensed for public use. I think it’s called “Creative Commons”.

If you’re selling a product on a site that allows multiple pictures, you may want to show a picture of the product, along with lifestyle stock pictures to demonstrate value.

If you sell sailor hats on ebay, you can show a picture that you took of the product, alongside a picture of an attractive couple smiling and partying on a yacht… (while wearing a similar hat)

If you sell bottled water, also include pictures of triathletes and healthy people doing yoga.

With consumer products, you’re not just selling a commodity. You’re also selling a fantasy of lifestyle.

This tactic is used very successfully by cologne and perfume companies.

    Just my thoughts.
