It is a common fact that Walt Disney’s brand is perhaps one of the most well known brands in the world. Disney’s creations and characters have successfully retained their magic and place in people’s hearts, unlike any competition. Truly, the brand’s magic has touched many, many lives, and this fact attracts enormous amounts of businesses. Initially, business dealing with Disney products may look to be easy, but unless you are familiar with the correct vendors and locales to contact, it can be quite difficult considering the Disney Company retains immense control over their product lines, brands, and characters. How to Find Overstock Items
Posted by johnb in Bulk Drop Shipping, Closeouts, Drop Shipping, Home Based Business, Liquidations, Wholesale, Wholesale Sources, eBusiness on October 19th, 2009
Many online retailers are now looking at boosting their business by purchasing overstock items and then reselling them to their customers at a tidy profit margin. Overstock items have become so popular recently because they can generally be bought in large quantities for a mere fraction of what they sold for originally and that of course adds up in dollars for you and your bottom line.
Online retailers are not only purchasing overstock items and adding them to their money making arsenal, but they are also taking advantage of closeouts and liquidation sales through wholesale distributors, drop shippers and other suppliers. Generally closeouts become available when a particular big box store or chain cannot move a certain product after they have marked it down, either because the product is no longer viable or because, like right now, the economy is in a slump. overstocks usually are the result of stores liquidating their inventory due to bankruptcy or store consolidations, so they have to sell their items as quickly and as cheaply as possible.
Don’t get confused or worried about these terms and think that you are buying inferior goods, because you are not. For the most part, all the items that you buy through a liquidation, lot, or overstock sale happen to be first rate products, but they could not be sold in the time they were allotted in any given store.
Big box stores continuously need to shift and change their merchandise so that customers who shop regularly are always interested in buying something new, even if they don’t need it. And because of the mercurial nature of the buyer, this creates a great opportunity for you, as a reseller, in your particular market of selling overstocks.
When a big box store cannot get rid of inventory that is just floating around and taking up valuable space, they then get with a wholesale distributor or liquidator to help them get rid of their overstocks. The wholesale distributor then has the option to resell the items individually or in case lots to an independent business, that then turns around and sells it to their customers. These companies can also decide to set up drop shipping agreements with their distributors who have store fronts online. Once a customer places an order, the store front contacts the wholesale distributor and they ship the item directly to the customer. Not all wholesale distributors are alike and each will have their own dropship agreements, minimum purchase requirements or other types of requirements that you will need to know about before you can order from them.
Drop shipping is a fantastic way that you can save time and money, since you are getting the items at rock bottom prices and you don’t have to carry inventory. dropship suppliers are also attractive for many online retailers since they might offer more convenient shipping locations so the time between the transaction and when the customer receives the product is a lot shorter.
The internet is a great resource to use when you are researching companies that offer overstock items. You should decide before you contact these companies whether you are going to deal with the shipping issue and carry inventory, or if you want the supplier to dropship for you. It doesn’t matter which avenue you decide to go with, because either way you are guaranteed to make money when you start selling wholesale overstocks or liquidations.

What’s the Best Way to Find Dropshippers?
Posted by Wholesale News in Bulk Drop Shipping, Drop Shipping on July 28th, 2009
Recently, internet businesses have found blind drop shipper directories to be an invaluable resource when they want to find dropshippers to work with. Dropshippers can help your business out in various ways, but if you’re new to the concept, you should pay attention to them all.
It’s popular for businesses to find dropshippers because, for many, dropshipping can take a lot of strain out of managing a business. With a dropshipper, you don’t have to worry about where to store your products, taking down inventory, or any of the shipping concerns. If what you want is a business that is hassle-free enough for you to run from home, this should definitely appeal to you.
Because of the demand for dropshippers, blind drop shipper directories are increasingly popular; it’s important for many businesses to be able to use wholesalers but disguise the fact that the products are wholesale and not retail. For a retail business, this is win-win: the retailer gets to use the wholesaler’s resources and the customers feel like they are dealing with a large, reliable company.
However, blind drop shipper directories tend to be very costly and not quite worth every dollar you shill out to acquire them. Plus, the directory’s information might be unusable or woefully dated. So when you want to find dropshippers, make sure you’re as cautious as possible.
On the other hand, some wholesale distributors keep their names out of blind drop shipper directories while still doing some dropshipping. Online searches will lead you to wholesalers that are not only reliable, on account of their longevity, but deliver the best-quality goods.
For you, the small retailer, these are your best bet; they are definitely time-tested and have good, verifiable reputations, which will set your mind at ease when dealing with them. Be aware that customers will be coming to you with any issues; blind dropshippers don’t mark product packaging, leaving your name as the only one on the product, which means you must be ready to deal with those problems. Just because you can find dropshippers doesn’t mean you’re off the hook entirely.
But if you find dropshippers that are reliable, you may find that you’ll be doing a lot less work and while your business continues to run very smoothly.
Every day more people use the internet and more of them shop online, which means that they need good quality online stores to buy from. So for small, online retailers this is open season; if you can find dropshippers, you’ll be able to offer a wide variety of products to potential customers.
As long as you put out the initial effort, you’ll be elated as your business grows past your wildest expectations and the fruits of your work will come back rapidly. We’re still in the first stages of internet commerce and if you find good dropshippers, you could be well on your way to great success.
Searching For Sources of Wholesale for Your Business?

No matter if you have an online retail business, or a traditional one, you have to be aware of the best places where you can get wholesale products in large variety that you can sell to your customers.
You need to know for sure if you are getting the best deal, when working with a distributor or broker. In most cases, the truth of the matter is, that your broker is a middle man between yourself and the distributor, and they are getting some of the profits, which means you are getting less.
A wholesale source is really the only way to make certain that you are getting the most profit that you can, since they offer the cheapest prices for a particular product that is on the market. Businesses major problem, is that unlike middlemen and mass suppliers, most wholesale distributors hardly advertise, and the way they do bulk selling to bigger retailers means that they really do not have a reason to do business with retailers to get rid of the stock they have.
A small retailer can have real problems when attempting to compete in their respective markets, since they often have no idea where they should go to source their goods. Actually, businesses that do a lot of advertising should be watched closely, since most of the time, they are not real wholesalers, they are just discount retailers that are trying to make money from people, since it is difficult to find real wholesalers.
When sourcing a wholesale source, where do you start? Usually, people will go to the Internet to do searches for wholesalers, even though this too, can lead to trouble, as they may not be legitimate wholesalers. You should be sure to do more research into the different companies, before you decide on one for your wholesaling needs.
You can also find a real wholesaler, by calling manufacturers, and asking them who they use to distribute or wholesale their products. Since almost all wholesalers want to have their brands known as much as they can, they will gladly let you in on who is a good wholesale supplier that is found in your area. After you have discovered the right wholesale source, you need to visit their website, or call them, so that you are aware of their policies exactly. This should be seen easily on the websites of wholesale suppliers that are legit, and also the various products they offer, and how much it will cost you to get these products.
You should also be aware, that unlike normal buying when you use a wholesale source to buy from, you will usually get even deeper discounts, for items that are purchased in bulk, and these discounts will also get larger depending on the amount of items you purchase at a given time. You can gain terrific profits from doing it this way, and it is even better if you only want to sell one product. Your wholesale supplier will make you totally happy, since they are the backbone of your business success, no matter who you decide to go with.
Watch For Hidden Fees When Using Certified Ebay Service Providers
Posted by Scott in Ebay, Home Based Business, Wholesale, Wholesale Sources on July 20th, 2009
When you first begin buying items on eBay, one section you may decide to investigate will explain certified eBay service providers. These third party sellers are not directly affiliated with eBay, but they have eBay’s endorsement.
Oftentimes buyers use these certified service providers because they want to find a trustworthy wholesale supplier or directory. Certified eBay service providers do ensure less risk of fraud, but they definitely do not ensure that you will get the best deal.
In all actuality, certified eBay service providers will often raise their prices after they are certified because they now have a built-in market.
Sellers are complaining more and more about this problem, and although the fine print does give the terms and conditions of using the service, the goal of finding a reliable wholesale supplier is to cut your costs and maximize your profits.
Truthfully, it is usually in your best interest to avoid certified eBay service providers until you are able to do some market research and can determine what price you should pay for your product.
Many reputable wholesale distributors exist who are trustworthy and reliable and who can supply you with top of the line products and great opportunities to make a profit on your sales.
Seasonal Wholesale Merchandise
Posted by Scott in Closeouts, Wholesale, Wholesale Sources on July 20th, 2009
Each year shoppers are able to talk themselves into spending more on holiday items than they did the year before. It is expected that on Valentine’s Day %17 billion dollars will exchange hands. When the holiday is over, lots of retailers will still have excessive amounts of holiday items left over (National Retail Federation). Many small retailers simply don’t have the space to store goods from previous years, which is where wholesalers come in.
wholesale distributors will buy the overstocked items for themselves as a means of capitalizing on high holiday revenues. It is possible to make a substantial amount of money by offering overstocked holiday items in bulk to small businesses, as well as the larger retail conglomerates. To store items for the following year, you must have adequate storage space and verify whether or not everything to be stored is non-perishable. There will be some items that store better and are more useful than others. When storing wholesale items, try to keep the items in the original packaging and avoid all items displaying a date or year.
A good idea for purchasing items from wholesale distributors is seeking those distributors that have ongoing purchase arrangements for overstocked seasonal merchandise with retailers. It may appear the deals aren’t that great, but if you factor in the elimination of storage fees, it often turns out better than expected. Another perk to be considered is the freedom from product loss due to lengthy storage.
Be sure to remember some seasonal and holiday items can be used more than one time a year. Items made for the summer months can still be used in areas that have year-round warm weather. There are some pieces of holiday decor which can also be used for other festivities. Take for instance that Halloween costumes and decorations could be used for special events and Easter decorations can be used for any function during springtime. Use fliers and other types of advertising to inform customers that you carry specialty items. Suggest to your clients that they use New Year’s decor for their quarterly sales parties, instead of buying new expensive decor from the current season. You never know when someone’s going to need a whole batch of Christmas ornaments for their “Christmas in July” fundraiser! The key to turning wholesale seasonal stock into a great investment is to encourage all customers to be creative.
The Danger in Wholesale Middlemen
Posted by Scott in Bulk Drop Shipping, Wholesale, Wholesale Sources on July 16th, 2009
After doing meager research involving wholesale distributors, I am distraught by how many people fall victim to the most simple of schemes.
A very simple, but common, way to ripoff businesses is for a middleman to claim he is a wholesale distributor. This middleman simply purchases from the distributor and jacks up the price of the product.
This is such a rampant problem that some of the biggest wholesale distributors aren’t actually wholesale distributors at all. They are just middlemen. A few days ago I read about a lady who used one particular wholesaler for a year as she grew her business. Eventually, one day, she decided she wanted to find other ways to acquire her products.
She was upset to uncover that her “wholesale distributor” was in actuality just a middleman. She could have found the products she was buying and reselling for much less.
Despite the monthly fee she payed to her supplier, there was still at least a 10-15% markup on her products.
This is, sadly, an extremely common situation. And it destroys profits. So, to best avoid the dangers of middlemen, you must research whether or not you are getting the absolute best price.
If you purchase directly from a wholesaler, you will be getting your products at the lowest possible prices and therefore make a larger profit.
Actually, most eBay service providers raise their prices as soon as they are certified. Upon certification, they feel they have cornered the market.
Thankfully, many people are now catching onto this issue. Although there are other issues that must be considered, the entire reason you are using a wholesale supplier is so that you can acquire goods at the lowest possible prices.
It is perhaps better to completely avoid the aforementioned eBay service providers unless your market research tells you they are the best price. There are countless high quality and reputable wholesale distributors. The only difficulty rests in discovering those in a sea of fraudulent imitations. But if you succeed, you can quickly have a booming internet business.
Wholesalers Revealed on Rip Off Reports
Posted by Scott in Wholesale, Wholesale Sources on July 16th, 2009
A few days ago, while researching a few things on the internet, I discovered a consumer site called Rip Off Report that educates and warns its readers about companies that practice bad business.
I decided to take a look at a few companies that I had considered for wholesale distribution and see if i could learn more about them before making my decision.
With so many wholesale distributors to choose from, it was no surprise that I came up empty handed, but I did find some information regarding a prosperous eBay supplier.
From what I had read up to that point, this company was a dropship company with a fairly good reputation, however the site revealed they were merely a transaction hub.
They are able to source many different products at once, which is not a bad thing if you don’t mind the exorbitant markups on the products offered. The markup can be as high as fifteen percent in some cases, which is a difference of profit margin when going between wholesale and retail.
This helped me become more cautious in choosing a wholesaler distributors and in the future I will be sure to research all of my options to find the best price for my products.
Bulk Buying Motorcycle Clothes For Resale

If you are looking to sell online, choose something that will be needed for a while, something necessary, that proves to be a better option than most other options. For instance, you must have all of the correct safety gear for a guaranteed smooth ride if you are a motorcycle rider.
Not everyone has a lot of money to spend, so even motorcycle riders search for cheaper alternatives to the pricey high quality riding gear.
If you decide to become a retailer, you may be able to get what they need from wholesale distributors of motorcycle apparel and accessories at lower prices, then sell them to your customers at a lower cost than other stores.
EBay, Craigslist, or your personal online store are great options for reselling these products, however either way you can still make a decent profit off of your wholesale purchases.
Motorcyclists are all about style when they ride, so seasonal apparel is a must, and that will always work out to your benefit. Winter riding allows for you to sell a variety of cold-weather products leather jackets, vests, chaps, camouflage pants, and skull caps. Also, saddle bags and other similar accessories are required for long-distance riding. If your customer leaves your store content with their purchase, then they are more likely to return to get the same quality apparel and accessories for an affordable price whenever they made need new gear. The retail market can be exceptionally profitable, as long as you can find a decent wholesale supplier for your business.
