Is China A Good Source Of Light Bulk Wholesale?

Are you, as are a lot of other people, looking for Chinese wholesale suppliers you can trust? Because of the sheer numbers of people searching for light bulk wholesale suppliers, many of them are now considering Chinese wholesalers as a possible answer to their quest. However there are a few things to consider about doing business with another country, and it’s wise to be aware of them before you began purchasing directly from China.

There is a false belief that anything coming from a legitimate Chinese wholesale supplier will cost a lot less and be ideal products to sell in this country. Well, that doesn’t happen to be true. Actually, when you start to add up the cost of postage, along with the time frame, you’ll find it’s often costing more to purchase products from China than it would locally. We’ll take a look at an example of this. If there were 5 products you purchased from a normal wholesaler, they would probably run you about $10 a piece, but if you bought them from a legitimate Chinese wholesale supplier you might be looking at a cost of five to six dollars, which is a big difference until you factor in the postage charges.  You might remember that postage is based on weight, and the if the products you are buying are rather heavy or bulky, you might be paying over the odds for the products you are buying.

Another thing to consider when you’re working with someone you think is a legitimate Chinese wholesale supplier is the fact they may NOT be legitimate. A good many of them are willing to sell duplicated or poor quality imitations of whatever items you are interested in buying.

Truth be known - it’s actually safer, when you’re looking for light bulk wholesale products, to find suppliers that are already established in this country. There are lots of wholesale suppliers who can provide you with closeout stock or liquidations they have that are inexpensive for you to buy, yet you will be able to turn a decent profit when you sell them. One of the high points about dealing with local suppliers is the fact you aren’t involved in paying import fees for any of the products and you can rest assured that whatever you are sourcing for resale will be a genuine article.

Another good point is the ability to check out the dropshippers yourself. If you’re not sure exactly what dropshipper is, let me explain. A dropshipper is defined as the business that will be shipping whatever item any customer purchases from your business/store directly from the wholesaler’s location to your customer. You don’t even have to pay for any items until the sale has been made, so if you don’t have the room, time, or money to stock all the items you’re selling, this becomes a great way to sell products.

It doesn’t matter if you are running your business offline or online, there’s a whole bunch of ways for you to sell the products you’ve bought through light bulk wholesalers. If you are thinking of selling online, an example would be trying out an eBay business, or building your own website and then people could purchase your products directly from you. Also, don’t be thinking that buying from a legitimate Chinese wholesale is your only option for doing business, because you’ve already learned it could end up costing you more money and time than it would be worth. Take the time to look around and see what’s available to you locally before you become involved in the potential headaches of dealing with overseas wholesale suppliers.
